Palangan is a beautiful and peaceful village in Kamyaran County, Kordestan Province. At the 2006 census, its population was 821, in 194 families. In Palangan the roof of one house serves as the courtyard of the upper house (like Masouleh in Gilan). Close to this village we can see ruins of an ancient fort dating back to B.C.
