Things to do in Ardabil

Sheikh Safi al-Din Khangah and Shrine Ensemble is the tomb of Sheikh Safi-ad-din Ardabili located in Ardabil. In 2010, it was registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Shorabil Lake is a beautiful lake located in a hilly area south of the Iranian city of Ardabil. Ardabil University is located near the lake.

Sabalan is an inactive stratovolcano in the Alborz mountain range and Ardabil Province of northwestern Iran. It has a permanent crater lake formed at its summit.

Fantastic historical site is located in Ardabil. Some of the carved stone structures found in the area are believed to be 6,000 years old.

It is a museum in Ardabil. The building of the museum was originally a historical bath with the name of Zahir-al-Islam, belonging to the pre-Safavid period, about second half of the seventh century AH.

This forest is one of the major tourist areas located 10 kilometers from Namin County and 30 kilometers from Ardabil. It constitutes a part of the eastern forests of Ardabil Province.

Ardebil Wildlife Museum is located on the street of the University near Sharabil Lake. Currently more than 120 species of animal skins (Taxidermy) are kept there.
