Museums in Fars Province

Persepolis was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. It is situated 60 km northeast of the city of Shiraz. The earliest remains of Persepolis date back to 515 BC.

Pasargadae was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire under Cyrus the Great who had issued its construction; it was also the location of his tomb.

Qavam House or Narenjestan Qavam is a traditional and historical house and garden in Shiraz. It was built between 1879 and 1886 by Mirza Ibrahim Khan.

Afif-Abad Garden, originally the Gulshan Garden, is a museum complex in Shiraz. Located in the affluent Afif-Abad district of Shiraz, the complex was constructed in 1863.
