Sacred & Religious Sites in Zanjan Province

The central magnet of Soltaniyeh's several ruins is the Mausoleum of Il-khan Öljeitü also known as Muhammad Khodabandeh, traditionally known as the Dome of Soltaniyeh in Soltaniyeh city, Zanjan.

The Jameh Mosque of Zanjan is the grand, congregational mosque of Zanjan. The mosque is situated in the old part of the city and was constructed in 1826 during the Qajar era.

This place is mostly well known for its famous annual mourning parade in Muharram month, a sacred month in lunar calendar between shia muslims.
