Karaftu Caves

The Karaftu cave is one of the important caves of Iran. It is situated in the Divandarreh Township of the Kordestan Province in the West of Iran. The length of the cave is about 750 meters and it has 4 stories. This cave is a natural limy cave that was living place in different periods, so it is changed to somewhat, the most important feature of this cave is its cliff architecture: it is dug on 4 floors in the mountain. there is an inscription over the door on one of the rooms on the third floor that introduces this cave as Herakles temple. you can visit this cave in 1 hour.
