General Information
Bojnourd is the capital city of North Khorasan province in Iran. It is about 701 km (436 mi) from Tehran. The ancient city was situated on a hill northwest of the present city of Bojnurd called Sareban Mehalleh, also known as Sarvan Mahaleh by local people.
The city is noted for its multicultural background. Many people speak at least 2 different languages including Persian, Tati, Khorasani Turkic, Kurmanci Kurdish, and Turkmen. Intermarriage between the ethnic groups speaking these languages is common.
Based on Wikipedia, Bojnourd is also famous for its Turkmen horses and professional horse-training centers and, for this reason, attracts visitors interested in equestrianism from all over the world, thus enriching the city considerably with the revenue to be derived from such equestrian tourism.

Connected to motorways. You can use taxi, however the easiest way to travel is via a hired car and its not expencive.
